Fireside Corrosion in Coal- and Oil-Fired Boilers
-
Published:2006
Abstract
The presence of certain impurities in coal and oil is responsible for the majority of fireside corrosion experienced in utility boilers. This article describes the two categories of fireside corrosion, such as water wall corrosion and fuel ash corrosion, in boilers. It provides information on the applications of coatings used for preventing the fireside corrosion in boilers.
