The ASM Handbook series is an authoritative, reliable reference tool for engineers, students, technicians, researchers, and others who need information about engineered materials. The program is overseen by the ASM International Handbook Committee, with a volunteer membership made up of professionals from industry, research, and academia. Projects to update or expand ASM Handbook coverage are planned and executed by volunteer groups organized by the Handbook Committee.

Opportunities are available to write new articles, update existing articles, or serve as a peer reviewer. Experts on topics that fall into the scope of the ASM Handbook are encouraged to contact [email protected] to suggest updates or to volunteer.
