Abstract
The tribological behavior of plasma-sprayed coating layers in Co-based alloy was investigated as a function of working distance, gun power, and gas flow. Surface roughness, microhardness, and wear volume were measured for different plasma spraying conditions, wear tests and hardness measurements were conducted at various temperatures, and the cross-section of wear tracks was observed using microscopy. The results obtained shed new light on the high-temperature wear mechanisms of plasma-sprayed coating layers in Co-base alloy.
