This work investigates the high-temperature oxidation kinetics of CoCrAlSiY coatings with different Si concentrations. Hot-corrosion resistance is determined at 800 and 900 °C via hot salt coating, thermal shock resistance is measured at 1050 °C, and the oxidation and corrosion products are analyzed through mineralogical and micro analysis. The results show that Si promotes the formation of an Al2O3 film that improves oxidation and corrosion resistance, but excessive amounts reduce thermal shock resistance.
