In this study, dense ceramic coatings are fabricated by HVOF spraying using Al2O3-TiO2 powder. To evaluate the effects of the feedstock material and spray equipment, conventional and nanostructured powders were sprayed using different HVOF systems. Coating microstructure, bond strength, hardness, porosity, and wear resistance were measured and the results are compared with conventional plasma-sprayed coatings.
