In modern companies, keywords such as downtime and fluctuations in quality are of great importance. In addition to high-quality system technology, all influencing variables of the thermal spray process must also be analyzed and recognized in order to be able to guarantee process reliability. In direct connection with this, technical gases and a gas supply that are matched to the respective thermal spray processes are of decisive importance. In order to always be able to provide these economically in the required quantities and pressures and, but also in the required purities, great efforts are made by the gas industry. In this paper, the individual components and supply concepts for the various spraying processes are tested for their operational suitability and, in particular, for their safety, which are directly available in practice for the multitude of processes.
