There is an increasing interest in microstructured components in various fields of application. Thermal spray molding of microcomponents with large aspect ratios is carried out using various injection processes. In addition to the performance of different spraying processes and coating materials, the choice of the base material in terms of process control and product properties is discussed. Procedures for manufacturing micro-tools for machining and forming are derived. Simulations are performed to derive guidelines for determining optimal process conditions. Finally, concepts for production lines for the production of microcomponents, including thermal spraying for the production of semi-finished products, are presented.
