Abstract
In this paper, nanostructured layers of zirconium and aluminum oxide are produced by atmospheric plasma spraying. The layers are characterized using SEM, TEM, X-ray phase analysis, and hardness measurements, the results of which show that hard, dense nanostructured oxide layers were achieved.
