The impact of heat treatment on residual stress and precipitation behavior in FGH96 alloy was investigated. Results obtained from the contour method for evaluating residual stress in FGH96 alloy demonstrate that aging conducted at 760°C enhances mechanical properties and reduces residual stress levels.
