About Heat Treating Proceedings
The Heat Treating Conference and Exposition is the premier technical and networking event for researchers and practitioners involved in the development, application, commercialization, and evaluation of heat treating processes. The current conference series originated in the 1970s, but heat treating has been a major technical focus of ASM International’s programming, publications, and education offerings ever since the society was founded in 1913 as the Steel Treaters Club in Detroit, Michigan. In 1994, the Heat Treating Society (HTS) was founded as an affiliate society of ASM International. The Heat Treating Conference and Exposition has been and continues to be the flagship offering of HTS.
