Publication History

Welding, Brazing, and Soldering was published in 1993 as Volume 6 of the ASM Handbook. The Volume was prepared under the direction of the ASM Handbook Committee.

In 2011, ASM International published ASM Handbook, Volume 6A, Welding Fundamentals and Processes. The articles in Volume 6 that cover the same scope as those in Volume 6A are considered to be superseded by the newer articles. Where appropriate, footnotes have been added to the articles in Volume 6 that direct readers to the newer articles in Volume 6A.
