Publication History

Materials Selection and Design was published in 1997 as Volume 20 of ASM Handbook. The Volume was prepared under the direction of the ASM International Handbook Committee.

In 2015, the article “Metal Additive Manufacturing—A Review” by William E. Frazier was added as an online update to ASM Handbook, Volume 20, Materials Selection and Design. The ASM Handbook Committee approved the addition of the article to the ASM Handbook series. The article was adapted from W.E.
