Metalworking: Sheet Forming was published in 2006 as Volume 14B of the ASM Handbook. The volume was prepared under the direction of the ASM International Handbook Committee.

This online version of ASM Handbook, Volume 14B also includes updates from 2009 and 2012. The 2009 updates were:

• Prediction and Direct Measurements of Die Wear in Stamping Processes, 2009, by Huimin Liu, Ford Motor Company

• Indirect Nondestructive Measurements of Die Wear in Stamping Productions, by Huimin Liu, Ford Motor Company and Sriram Sadagopan, Mittal Steel USA

In 2012, the following articles were added from the 2012 ASM publication Sheet Metal Forming: Processes and Applications, edited by Taylan Altan, Center for Precision Forming (CPF) at The Ohio State University, and Erman Tekkaya, Institut für Umformtechnik und Leichtbau (IUL) at Technical University, Dortmund, Germany. The articles in the 2012 updates were:
