Abstract
In recognition of ASM International's 100-year anniversary, AM&P highlights historic events and technological advancements that occurred over the course of those years. This issue extends he timeline from 1934 to 1943, which includes the invention of the first gas turbine for jet propulsion, the first practical electron microscope, and the exhibit of the ultramodern S-1 locomotive at the World Fair.
