ANACONDA Alloy 226 nominally contains 87.5% copper and remainder zinc. This composition gives it a pleasing, rich color, hence the old name Jewelry Bronze. It possesses a resistance to dezincification and to stress-corrosion cracking that makes it ideal for all-weather usage as well as for decorative purposes. Among its many uses are slide fasteners, wire for screens of all types, electrical connectors, costume jewelry and platers' bars in the manufacture of gold-plated articles. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: Cu-427. CDA C18700 is a copper-base alloy containing lead (nominally 1.0%). The lead is added to impart free-cutting properties to the metal. Although the lead lowers the electrical conductivity of CDA C18700 slightly below that of tough-pitch copper, it still has high electrical conductivity well within the limits needed for most current-carrying requirements. Typical uses comprise electrical motor and switch parts, electrical connectors and screw-machine parts requiring high conductivity. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and shear strength. CDA ALLOY 725 (Now known as CDA ALLOY C72500) is a copper-nickel-tin alloy designed to improve the reliability of electrical connectors by resisting oxidation and thus providing improved solderability. It has a pleasant silver color and excellent joinability by soldering, brazing and spot and butt resistance welding. Its uses include electrical connectors, relay and switch springs, and builders' hardware. The revision is being made to correct an error in composition and for general updating. The original name (CDA ALLOY 725) is being retained because of the correction in composition. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Cu-229. Producer or source: Copper and copper alloy mills.
