Nitronic 20 was designed for elevated-temperature use where high mechanical strength and resistance to oxidation and sulfidation are important. This stainless steel exhibits high mechanical strength throughout the 1000-1700 F (538-927 C) temperature range, yet it is malleable at forging temperatures and provides excellent hot workability. Nitronic 20 also retains ductility and ambient temperatures; this permits working or shaping by many conventional cold-forming processes. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties as well as fatigue. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, and machining. Filing Code: SS-381. Producer or source: Armco Inc., Stainless Steel Division.

INCONEL Alloy MA 6000 is a nickel-base alloy produced by mechanical alloying. It is strengthened by both oxide dispersion strengthening and precipitation hardening for high creep and rupture properties at 2000 F (1095 C) as well as at 1400 F (760 C). The alloy's composition also gives it excellent resistance to oxidation and sulfidation. Alloy MA 6000 was developed as a blade material for advanced gas turbines. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as creep and fatigue. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Ni-288. Rolled Alloys 188 is a cobalt-based superalloy with a unique combination of high temperature strength and oxidation resistance, along with adequate ductility even after prolonged exposure to the 760–870 °C (1400–1600 °F) temperature range. Cobalt alloys have an inherent advantage over the nickel-based grades in high temperature creep. Rolled Alloys 188 is solid solution strengthened by a 14% tungsten addition, and further strengthened by M6C and M23C6 carbides. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. This alloy improves upon the excellent high-temperature corrosion resistance of INCONEL alloy 690 (see Alloy Digest Ni-266, March 1981) through an addition of aluminum. Inconel Alloy 693 is typically 61% Ni, 29% Cr, 3.3% Al, and 0.7% Nb, with the balance being principally iron. By virtue of its contents of chromium and aluminum, alloy 693 offers particularly good resistance to oxidation, carburization, sulfidation, and special resistance to metal dusting. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as creep. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming and heat treating. Filing Code: Ni-617. Producer or source: Special Metals Corporation.
