BRUSH WELLMAN I-220 is an instrument grade of beryllium strengthened by a dispersion of 2.2% beryllium oxide maximum. It has a micro-yield strength of 5000 psi minimum. I-220B is manufactured from impact ground powder and therefore is more isotropic than BRUSH WELLMAN S-200E. I-220 is often used as an optical support bench because of its high degree of isotropy and good micro-yield strength. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: Be-7. Producer or source: Brush Wellman Inc..

CARMO is the prehardened version of CALMAX (see Alloy Digest TS-177, March 1966). It is particularly suitable for flame and induction hardening of large press work tooling where excessive distortion after heat treatment is likely and also for prototype or very short run tooling. Its good weld-ability means that minor weld repairs can be carried out in the press. CARMO/CALMAX can be supplied in various finishes including the hot-rolled, rough-machined, and fine-machined executions. This datasheet provides information on composition, hardness, and tensile properties. It also includes information on forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: TS-597. Wieland Duro Tungsten is unalloyed tungsten produced from pressed-and-sintered billets. The high melting point of tungsten makes it an obvious choice for structural applications exposed to very high temperatures. Tungsten is used at lower temperatures for applications that can benefit from its high density, high modulus of elasticity, or radiation shielding capability. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on machining. Filing Code: W-34. Austral Wright Copper Alloy 220 (UNS C22000), also known as 90/10 gilding metal, is a wrought copper-zinc alloy. It combines a rich golden color with the best combination of strength, ductility, and corrosion resistance of the plain copper-zinc alloys. It weathers to a rich bronze color and can be supplied in pre-patinated colors ranging from deep brown to green. Austral Wright Copper Alloy 220 has a lower rate of work hardening than the copper-zinc alloys with higher zinc content, such as alloys 260 and 272. This is an advantage in multistage pressing applications without interstage annealing. It has excellent deep drawing characteristics and resistance to pitting corrosion when exposed to severe weather and water environments. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, and joining. Filing Code: Cu-935. Producer or source: Austral Wright Metals.
