CLI-50A is a Korean 6 Mo superaustenitic stainless steel with improved corrosion resistance properties. The chromium additions have been increased up to 22% together with high nitrogen additions. The PREN value [%Cr] + 3.3 [%Mo] + 16[%N] is higher than 45. The alloy is copper free. This alloy is particularly well designed for seawater applications and pollution control equipment. Allegheny Ludlum alloy 255 is a high-strength duplex stainless steel. It combines high mechanical strength, ductility, and hardness with excellent resistance to corrosion and erosion.
