METGLAS MBF-60A is a brazing foil in ductile, flexible metallic-glass form (a similar grade, MBF-60, is identical except that it has larger dimensional tolerances). It is an excellent choice of filler metal for large production runs of low-to-medium stressed assemblies. Its excellent flow characteristics and low joint erosion recommend its selection, despite the fact that it has only moderate strength in comparison with other filler metals of this family. It is boron-free and thus is recommended for nuclear reactor applications. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, microstructure, and hardness. It also includes information on forming, heat treating, and joining. Filing Code: Ni-278. Producer or source: Allied Corporation.

JESSOP JS625 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum-columbium alloy that is well suited for applications where strength and corrosion resistance are required. It has superior strength and toughness at temperatures ranging from cryogenic to 2000 F; also, it has exceptional fatigue strength. It is outstanding in resistance to corrosion either general or localized (pitting/crevice), is virtually immune to chloride-ionstress-corrosion cracking, and is highly resistant to oxidation. Among its many uses are aerospace applications, heat exchangers, nuclear-reactor components and power-plant flue-gas scrubbers. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Ni-285. Producer or source: Jessop Steel Company.

Type 347 (UNS S34700) and type 348 (UNS S34800) are austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steels containing columbium and tantalum. These grades are recommended where it is preferred to omit the annealing operation after welding. They are also recommended for service at temperatures between 425 and 900 deg C (800 and 1650 deg F). Type 348 is used in applications that require a restricted tantalum content such as those encountered in radioactive service. These types are essentially non-magnetic when annealed and become slightly magnetic when cold worked. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as creep. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming and heat treating. Filing Code: SS-898. Producer or source: J & L Specialty Steel Inc.

ZIRCADYNE 702 is described as unalloyed zirconium despite the fact that it contains hafnium (4.5% max.) from its ore. Hafnium is very similar to zirconium metallurgically and chemically and is not detrimental to corrosion resistance and other characteristics of zirconium in most applications (except nuclear). Because of its excellent resistance to many corrosive media and its good mechanical and heat-transfer properties, Zircadyne 702 has found widespread use in many chemical process applications.
