ZGS Platinum is a grain stabilized platinum containing a small amount of highly dispersed zirconium oxide. Its properties combine to provide greater high-temperature strength and, in some applications, greater contamination resistance than that of pure platinum. Applications include laboratory crucibles and dishes. An exacting application is in the production of fibre glass which invloved the rapid flow of molten glass at temperatures of 1250-1350 C through a pierced plate which must retain its shape and alignment. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, microstructure, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as creep. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Pt-2. Producer or source: Matthey Bishop Inc..

Prodec Type 303 is a standardized resulfurized grade available in billet and bar. It has an improved machining capability over the conventional AISI Type 303 and is a product of extensive laboratory testing and application proven. The improved machinability offers shorter machining time, longer tool life, better surface finish, less distortion problems, more homogeneity in microstructures, and marginally increased resistance to corrosion. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-967. Producer or source: Outokumpu Stainless Inc.

OSTALLOY 136 is a bismuth-base, low-melting eutectic alloy; it melts at 136 F (57.8 C), hence its identifying number. This alloy finds wide use in industry and in laboratories because of its low melting temperature and controlled-shrinkage characteristics. It can be recovered easily and recycled into new uses any number of times. Among many applications Ostalloy 136 is used for anchoring components for machining and grinding, proof casting in foundries, dental models and fusible elements in safety devices. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties. It also includes information on casting, heat treating, and machining. Filing Code: Bi-28. CARPENTER 20Mo-6 is an austenitic stainless steel which is resistant to corrosion in hot chloride environments with low pH. It has good resistance to pitting and stress-corrosion cracking in chloride environments and is also resistant to oxidizing media. Its good resistance to corrosion has been demonstrated in both laboratory and field tests. These tests indicate that potential applications for Carpenter 20Mo-6 include environments where HASTELLOY Alloy G (Cabot Corporation) is acceptable. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-444. Producer or source: Carpenter.

CROLOY 9V is a ferritic steel modified with columbium. It was developed at Oak Ridge National Laboratory under contract from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). Compared with Croloy 9M (the 9Cr-1Mo alloy) Croloy 9V provides improved strength, toughness and fatigue life with good oxidation and corrosion resistance at elevated temperatures. The alloy should be of interest to designers of a wide variety of equipment used to produce energy. Impressive test data indicate that Croloy 9V is capable of meeting the requirements of a variety of other applications. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, microstructure, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SA-402. Producer or source: Babcock & Wilcox Company.
