Meehanite SFF350 is a ferritic ductile iron with a minimum tensile strength of 350 MPa (51 ksi) and a minimum elongation of 24%, when measured on test pieces machined from separately cast samples. It is specifically designed to provide good impact properties at low temperature. This fully ferritic Meehanite grade is produced from specially selected high purity raw materials and by subjecting the castings to an extended annealing heat treatment in order to fully develop the mechanical properties. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on heat treating and joinability. Filing Code: CI-90. Producer or source: Meehanite Metal Corporation.

Cleveland-Cliffs 430 Ultra Form is a ferritic stainless steel that was developed as a more formable version of type 430 stainless steel. It contains a small addition of titanium and has a more equiaxed microstructure. It is particularly suited for parts having complex shapes. Cleveland-Cliffs 430 Ultra Form combines good corrosion resistance with heat and oxidation resistance up to 815 °C (1500 °F), while having improved mechanical properties over type 430 stainless steel. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, and joinability. Filing Code: SS-1344. Producer or source: Cleveland-Cliffs Inc.

1045, 1045H, 1046, C45, C45E, and C45R are wrought medium-carbon non-alloy steels that are used in the normalized, cold worked, or quenched and tempered condition. 1045, 1045H, 1046, C45E, and C45R may also be flame or induction hardened. These steels are widely used for moderately and highly stressed parts that require higher strength levels than can be achieved by the lower carbon grades, and where the expense of an alloy steel is not justified. Owing to their low hardenability their use in the quench hardened and tempered condition is not recommended for large sizes as the improvement in mechanical properties over the normalized condition is insufficient to justify the additional cost of heat treatment. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joinability. Filing Code: CS-217. Producer or source: Data Survey.

Cleveland-Cliffs 18 SR is a ferritic stainless steel that is especially valuable for applications requiring high-temperature scaling resistance. Its properties, under cyclic conditions, are superior to those of types 409, 430, 304, 309, and 310 stainless steels. In addition, it is more economical than many of the stainless steels that are intended for high temperature applications. Unlike many of the straight chromium alloys, Cleveland-Cliffs 18 SR is readily welded by conventional methods. It is not subject to troublesome embrittlement or loss of corrosion resistance in the heat-affected zone. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on low temperature performance, high temperature performance, and corrosion resistance as well as forming and joining. Filing Code: SS-1367. for article titled, ATLAS 316, ATLAS 316L, ATLAS 316H: Austenitic Stainless Steel
Atlas 316 is a chromium-nickel-molybdenum austenitic stainless steel, second only to Atlas 304 in commercial importance. The molybdenum gives Atlas 316 better overall corrosion resistant properties than type 304 austenitic stainless steel, particularly higher resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments. It is readily brake or roll formed, welded, soldered, and cut by both thermal and mechanical methods. The austenitic structure gives excellent toughness, even down to cryogenic temperatures. Atlas 316L, the low carbon version of Atlas 316, is highly resistant to sensitization (grain boundary carbide precipitation) and so is extensively used in heavy gauge welded components; about 5 mm, 0.2 in., and over. Atlas 316H, with its higher carbon content, has some application at elevated temperatures, as does stabilized type 316Ti. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-1365. Producer or source: Atlas Steels.
