ATI 2003 lean duplex stainless steel (LDSS) is a molybdenum-enhanced, duplex stainless steel alloy. Cr, Ni, Mo, and N are controlled to give a phase balance similar to that of ATI 2205 duplex stainless steel, while reducing costs. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fatigue. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, and joining. Filing Code: SS-1258. Producer or source: Allegheny Technologies Inc..

for article titled, J & L TYPE 302: Austenitic Stainless Steel
Type 302 (UNS S 30200) stainless steel is an austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel, nonhardenable by thermal treatments. It may be cold worked to high tensile strengths with slightly lower ductility than type 301. Its corrosion resistance is superior to that of type 301. Type 302 is essentially nonmagnetic in the annealed condition and becomes slightly magnetic when cold worked. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties as well as creep. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: SS-779. Producer or source: J & L Specialty Steel Inc.

for article titled, ATI 2003: 21Cr-3.5Ni-1.75Mo-0.17N Duplex Stainless Steel
ATI 2003 (UNS S32003) is a molybdenum-enhanced lean duplex stainless steel (LDSS) that was developed to fill the performance gap between type 316L (UNS S31603) and 2205 duplex (UNS S32205) stainless steels. ATI 2003 has reduced alloy content, which makes it less costly than 2205 duplex, yet ATI 2003 retains the high strength level characteristic of duplex grades. Compared to type 316L, ATI 2003 has increased strength, better corrosion resistance, and greater cost stability. These and other factors make ATI 2003 an attractive alternative for a variety of applications. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, and joining. Filing Code: SS-1335. Producer or source: ATI.

for article titled, SAE 1008, CEN C8, ISO C8 STEEL DATA SURVEY: Wrought Low-Carbon Non-Alloy Steels
1008 and C8C are wrought low-carbon (carbon ≤ 0.10%) non-alloy steels that are used in the as-rolled, annealed, normalized, or cold worked condition. These steels are characterized by low strength, high ductility, excellent cold formability, and excellent weldability. Within the carbon range of these steel grades, strength and hardness will increase with increase in carbon and with cold work. Such increases in strength are at the sacrifice of ductility or the ability to withstand cold deformation. 1008 and C8C are widely used for lightly stressed parts where cold formability or drawability is the primary requisite. In general, they are not intended for heat treatment after cold working. 1008 may, however, be used in the carburized or carbonitrided, and subsequently quench hardened and tempered condition for parts requiring a hard, wear-resistant surface, but with little need for increased mechanical properties in the core. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, microstructure, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fatigue. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as casting, forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: CS-228. Producer or source: Data Survey.
