CRONIFER 1925 HMo is an austenitic chromium-nickel-molybdenum stainless steel. The high contents of chromium and especially molybdenum make this steel highly resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion. Because of its high nickel content, its resistance to stress-corrosion cracking is considerably higher than that of the common austenitic stainless steels. CRONIFER 1925 HMo has good strength and ductility, high impact values and good weldability. Its applications include heat exchangers for use with salt water, bleaching-plant equipment and flue-gas scrubbers. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: SS-403. JESSOP JS625 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum-columbium alloy that is well suited for applications where strength and corrosion resistance are required. It has superior strength and toughness at temperatures ranging from cryogenic to 2000 F; also, it has exceptional fatigue strength. It is outstanding in resistance to corrosion either general or localized (pitting/crevice), is virtually immune to chloride-ionstress-corrosion cracking, and is highly resistant to oxidation. Among its many uses are aerospace applications, heat exchangers, nuclear-reactor components and power-plant flue-gas scrubbers. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Ni-285. Producer or source: Jessop Steel Company.

AVESTA 254 SMO was developed for use in halide-containing environments. Its high molybdenum content, along with the copper addition, provides a material with excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion as well as good general corrosion resistance, especially in halide-containing acids. In addition, its high nitrogen content results in superior strength when compared with other austenitic stainless steels. Typical applications for Avesta 254 SMO involve seawater contact, scrubbers and high-halide level tanks and piping. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-445. Producer or source: Aluminum alloy mills.
