for article titled, ARMCO GAINEX STEELS: Hot Rolled Carbon Steels
ARMCO GAINEX Steels comprise a family of five low-cost structural carbon steels. This family includes: GAINEX-35, GAINEX-40, GAINEX-45, GAINEX-50 and GAINEX SA (Strain ageable); the numbers following GAINEX refer to minimum specified (ordered) yield strengths in 1000 psi. These steels are well suited to the automotive, farm and construction equipment, and appliance industries for such applications as truck bodies, light poles, bumper support members and parts for agricultural implements. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness and fatigue. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: CS-69. Producer or source: Armco Inc., Eastern Steel Division.

for article titled, USS AR: Abrasion Resistant Steel
USS AR is a medium-carbon, low-alloy steel used in the as-rolled condition for resistance to abrasion. It is a relatively low-cost steel and is employed in applications involving smooth-sliding abrasion, where abrasive materials such as grains, coal, ore, cement, gravel, light aggregate and earth are being handled. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: SA-324. Producer or source: United States Steel Corporation.

for article titled, KIDD ALLOY ZA-12: Zinc-Base Casting Alloy
KIDD Alloy ZA-12 is the general-purpose, zinc-aluminum-copper foundry alloy. It can be sand, permanent-mold or die cast. Alloy ZA-12 has a modest cost and a tensile strength suitable for many applications where bronze and cast or malleable iron were traditionally used. Alloy ZA-12 is extremely resistant to galling, has natural lubricity and is thus well suited to lubricated bearing and bushing applications. It is particularly well suited to liquid and gas-pressure applications. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and shear strength as well as fracture toughness and fatigue. It also includes information on casting, forming, heat treating, machining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: Zn-38. Producer or source: Kidd Creek Mines Ltd.
