CHASE PHOSNIC BRONZE is a high copper alloy combining high strength and high conductivity, both electrical and thermal, in an unusual degree. It has high workability and excellent corrosion resistance. The additions of nickel and phosphorus to the copper render the alloy capable of being hardened and strengthened by age-hardening heat treatment. The alloy has also high endurance strength in the harder drawn tempers of wire, and excellent resistance to creep or flow under the influence of prolonged stress. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as creep and fatigue. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Cu-12. Producer or source: Chase Brass & Copper Company Inc.. Originally published November 1953, revised February 1965.

COLMONOY NO. 5 comprises a chromium-boride-containing, nickel-base alloy recommended for hard surfacing parts to resist wear, corrosion, heat and galling. Deposits, which have only moderate hardness (Rockwell C 45-50), may be machined with carbide tooling. Also, deposits have fairly good workability, ductility and impact strength. Colmonoy No. 5 is supplied as crushed powder for application with Wall Colmonoy's SPRAYWELD Process. Also, it is supplied as bare or coated rod for either oxyacetylene or DC electric-arc (reverse polarity) application, as well as castings. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and compressive strength as well as fracture toughness. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and powder metal forms. Filing Code: Ni-217. KANTHAL 70 alloy was designed to provide a high positive temperature coefficient to electrical resistance comparable with that of pure nickel; however, it has much higher electrical resistivity than pure nickel. This makes it useful as a voltage regulator when placed in series with another electrical device across a fluctuating voltage source. Kanthal 70 has a maximum recommended operating temperature of 600 C and is used widely in resistance thermometers and in various appliance and automotive applications. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, and joining. AL TECH A-HT is a tool steel for difficult cold-work applications. It is somewhat similar to AISI Type A2 in alloy content but with increased wear resistance. Additions of titanium and tungsten produce hard, long-wearing carbides that help to decrease galling and metal pick-up. The main advantages of AL TECH A-HT are: (1) Very high wear resistance, (2) Good toughness, (3) Air hardening and (4) Low distortion in heat treatment. A-HT is used where better wear resistance is required than is attainable using AISI Type A2 or better toughness than AISI Type D2. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, microstructure, hardness, elasticity, and compressive strength as well as fracture toughness. It also includes information on forming, heat treating, and machining. Filing Code: TS-457. Producer or source: AL Tech Specialty Steel Corporation.
