TUF-COR 1 WELDING ELECTRODE was designed for general-purpose welding of mild steel. It can produce spatter-free, well-contoured welds in the horizontal position and in the flat position. Tuf-Cor 1 is specially formulated to produce spray-like metal transfer and multi-pass capabilities which allow the versatility of using one electrode diameter to weld many plate thicknesses that normally would require two or more diameters. It is used to deposit typically 1.55% manganese steel weld metal that is tough and has a tensile strength of typically 87,000 psi. The shielding gas is carbon dioxide. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, and elasticity. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as heat treating and machining. INCO-WELD A Electrode is a nickel-base alloy developed for shielded metal-arc welding of INCONEL alloys 600 and 601 and INCOLOY alloy 800H to be exposed to elevated temperatures (up to about 1600 F).
