Deloro Stellite 20 is a Co-Cr-W-C alloy. It is the most abrasion resistant standard cobalt based alloy. Its high chromium content ensures good general corrosion resistance and high-temperature oxidation resistance, while the increased tungsten level provides superior high-temperature properties as compared to Stellite 6 or 12. The importance of hydrochloric and sulfuric acids to the chemical process industries cannot be overstated. There has always been a desire for materials with improved resistance to these two acids, without the drawbacks associated with the nickel-molybdenum alloys. The Hybrid-BC1 alloy is significantly more resistant to HCl and H2SO4 than the Ni-Cr-Mo alloys and additionally, is resistant to oxidizing chemicals in the acid that are very detrimental to B-Family alloys. Special Metals Inconel G-3 is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy with additions of molybdenum and copper. Some of the minor elements are controlled to yield increased resistance to heat affected-zone (HAZ) corrosion and improved weldability. Special Metals Inconel G-3 has excellent corrosion resistance to oxidizing chemicals and atmospheres. It is also resistant to reducing chemicals because of its nickel and copper contents.
