ZIRCADYNE 704 is a zirconium-tin-iron-chromium alloy. Zircadyne 704 can contain up to 4.5% hafnium which is naturally present in the zirconium ore. The hafnium is very similar to zirconium metallurgically and chemically and is not detrimental to the corrosion resistance of Zircadyne 704 in chemical applications. Zircadyne 704 is used for high-pressure, high-temperature water and steam environments such as those in the nuclear power industry. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fatigue. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: Zr-9. Remanit 4401 is a chromium-nickel-molybdenum austenitic stainless steel. The molybdenum (2 to 2.5%) gives it resistance to pitting corrosion, more than most of the standard grades of austenitic stainless steels. This extra measure of corrosion resistance makes this grade particularly suitable for uses involving severe corrosive conditions. The alloy has high strength and good resistance to creep at elevated temperatures. Its many applications include the nuclear, chemical, food, paper, and textile industries. SPS Technologies Aerex 350 is a proprietary high-strength, corrosion-resistant nickel-based superalloy that is suitable for demanding applications up to 730 °C (1350 °F). It has the highest temperature limit of the three SPS superalloys. Like MP35N and MP159, this alloy not only undergoes the multiphase reaction, but also benefits from two additional strengthening mechanisms. Elements are also added to the chemical composition to cause precipitation of the gamma prime phase with higher temperature capability than MP159. Because this alloy is used at even higher temperatures than MP159, elements are added to the chemical composition to also cause the precipitation of eta phase during thermal treatments. This phase contributes to notch toughness at elevated temperatures. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance. Filing Code: Ni-780. Producer or source: SPS Technologies, Inc.
