STOODY 4 is a cobalt-chromium-tungsten alloy with excellent high-temperature strength and excellent resistance to corrosion. This alloy derives its high-temperature strength from the high tungsten-to-carbon ratio which allows a large percentage of tungsten to remain in solid solution. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and compressive strength. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Co-75. Producer or source: WRAP Division, Stoody Company.

Copper Alloy No. C813000 is a cast copper-base alloy containing nominally 0.8% cobalt and 0.06% beryllium. Thus it is a beryllium-modified copper-cobalt alloy. Because of its beryllium content, its manufacture may present a health hazard. C81300 is a precipitation-hardenable alloy with moderate hardness and strength. It has fairly good thermal and electrical conductivities. It is used for electrical and thermal conductors where moderate hardness is sufficient but is required. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on casting, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Cu-508. Producer or source: Copper alloy foundries.

TRIBALOY T-800 consists of a hard, intermetallic phase in a softer, cobalt-base alloy matrix. It can be cast or hardfaced. As alloy powder it can be plasma sprayed or blended with other powders for P/M (Powder Metallurgy) processing. It has excellent resistance to crevice corrosion and it is less susceptible to stress-corrosion cracking than the austenitic stainless steels. T-800 combines outstanding resistance to corrosion and wear in numerous commercial environments. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and compressive strength as well as fracture toughness and fatigue. It also includes information on corrosion and wear resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and powder metal forms. Filing Code: Co-73. Producer or source: Tribaloy Products.

RED CUT COBALT steel is made by adding 5% cobalt to the conventional 18% tungsten -4% chromium-1% vanadium high-speed steel. Cobalt increases hot or red hardness and thus enables the tool to maintain a higher hardness at elevated temperatures. This steel is best adapted for hogging cuts or where the temperature of the cutting point of the tool in increased greatly. It is well adapted for tools to be used for reaming cast-iron engine cylinders, turning alloy steel or cast iron and cutting nonferrous alloys at high speeds. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, and hardness as well as fracture toughness. It also includes information on forming, heat treating, and machining. Deloro Stellite 25 is a cobalt-chromium-tungsten-nickel alloy. This tungsten strengthened cobalt-chromium alloy is the cast version of the wrought cobalt-base alloy L605. Deloro Stellite 25 is resistant to wear, galling, and corrosion and retains this resistance at high temperatures. Its exceptional wear resistance is due mainly to the unique inherent characteristics of the hard carbide phase dispersed in a CoCr alloy matrix. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as machining. Filing Code: Co-142. Producer or source: Deloro Wear Solutions GmbH.

AISI Type T4 is made by adding 5% cobalt to the conventional 18% tungsten-4% chromium-1% vanadium (AISI Type T1) tool steel. The cobalt dissolves in the ferrite and strengthens the matrix of the steel whereas the other alloying elements form carbides. Thus the cobalt increases the hot or red hardness, thereby enabling the tool to maintain a higher hardness at elevated temperatures. Type T4 is well adapted for cutting hard, gritty materials such as cast iron or other abrasive materials and for cutting nonferrous alloys at high speeds. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, and hardness as well as fracture toughness. It also includes information on forming, heat treating, and machining.
