ZIRCADYNE 702 is described as unalloyed zirconium despite the fact that it contains hafnium (4.5% max.) from its ore. Hafnium is very similar to zirconium metallurgically and chemically and is not detrimental to corrosion resistance and other characteristics of zirconium in most applications (except nuclear). Because of its excellent resistance to many corrosive media and its good mechanical and heat-transfer properties, Zircadyne 702 has found widespread use in many chemical process applications. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fatigue. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: Zr-7. Producer or source: Teledyne Wah Chang Albany.

ZIRCADYNE 704 is a zirconium-tin-iron-chromium alloy. Zircadyne 704 can contain up to 4.5% hafnium which is naturally present in the zirconium ore. The hafnium is very similar to zirconium metallurgically and chemically and is not detrimental to the corrosion resistance of Zircadyne 704 in chemical applications. Zircadyne 704 is used for high-pressure, high-temperature water and steam environments such as those in the nuclear power industry. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fatigue. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: Zr-9. Producer or source: Teledyne Wah Chang Albany.

ZIRCADYNE 705 is a zirconium-niobium (columbium) alloy which contains 2-3% niobium. Because of its excellent resistance to many corrosive media and its good mechanical and heat transfer properties, Zircadyne 705 has found widespread use in many chemical process applications. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as creep and fatigue. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: Zr-8. Producer or source: Teledyne Wah Chang Albany.

... asimilar corrosion resistance to unalloyed zirconium (Zircadyne 702)and to Zircadyne 705 in most applications. Zircadyne 706 has good corrosion resistance to a wide range of corrosive media. including both acids and alkalies. It also shows good resistance to attack by liquid sodium. In general...

ZIRCADYNE 706 is a zirconium-niobium (columbium) alloy containing 2-3% niobium. It is similar in chemical compositions (except for slightly lower oxygen) to Zircadyne 705 (Alloy Digest Zr-8, July 1982). Zircadyne 706 was developed specifically for severe forming applications such as panel-type heat exchangers. The corrosion resistance of Zircadyne 706 is identical to that of Zircadyne 705 but its tensile and yield strengths are slightly lower. It is recommended for chemical processing applications. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: Zr-10. Producer or source: Teledyne Wah Chang Albany.
