VERTI-COR Welding Electrode is a continuous tubular steel welding electrode with a powdered-metal-and-flux core; gas shielding and slag are used to protect the molten electrode and weld metal. The VERTI-COR Welding Electrode is used for all-position welding and is a member of the FLUXCOR family of electrodes. It is used to deposit typically 1.6 to 1.9% manganese steel weld metal that is tough and has tensile strengths in the range 80,000 to 97,000 psi, depending on composition of the shielding gas. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, and elasticity. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SA-384. Producer or source: Airco Welding Products.
