VDM 36 (Pernifer 36) is a binary iron-nickel alloy with a particularly low coefficient of linear thermal expansion. This alloy is used for applications where dimensional changes due to temperature variation must be minimized or in conjunction with high expansion alloys in applications where a motion is desired when the temperature changes. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Ni-775. Producer or source: VDM Metals GmbH.
