VASCO 734 is a precipitation hardening stainless maraging steel. Its corrosion resistance in marine atmosphere is comparable to that of AISI Type 430 ferritic stainless steel. Its low predictable shrinkage reduces post-age machining and eliminates rejected parts due to warpage in heat treatment. The steel is produced by high quality vacuum melting. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties as well as fatigue. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as heat treating and joining. Filing Code: SS-516. Producer or source: Teledyne Vasco.
