Vanadis 4 Extra is a high-alloyed powder metallurgical (PM) tool steel suitable for long-run tooling in applications with high demands on adhesive wear and chipping resistance. Due to the very carefully balanced alloying and the powder metallurgical manufacturing route, Vanadis 4 Extra has better machinability and similar heat treatment to AISI Type D2.
