The high chromium, molybdenum, and nitrogen contents of alloy Uranus B46 (also known as UR B46) result in a pitting resistance equivalent number (PREN) of >45 and explain why the grade is very resistant to localized corrosion even in acidified oxidizing environments. The alloy has been used for offshore applications. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and shear strength as well as fracture toughness.
