Uranus 35N is a duplex stainless steel with a microstructure consisting of austenite and ferrite close to 50/50. It has corrosion resistance and strength better than type 304 stainless steel. Applications include pressure vessels for weight savings and where more resistance to chloride-ion stress-corrosion cracking is needed. This datasheet provides information on composition and physical properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-648. Producer or source: Creusot-Marrel.

Uranus 45N+ (UR 45N+) is a modification of the 2205 or UNS S31803 composition to which molybdenum and nitrogen have been optimized to develop a pitting resistance equivalent nitrogen (PREN) number that is 36 or greater. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, microstructure, elasticity, and shear strength. It also includes information on heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-802. Producer or source: Creusot-Loire Industrie.
