CYCLOPS S1 (formerly Alco M) was originally developed for chisel and pneumatic tool purposes. It is now used for many other cold and hot work applications because of its outstanding toughness and resistance to fatigue. It gives excellent results in those instances where shock and impact are major factors. It may be carburized for those applications where high wear resistance and great core strength are required. Its many applications include shear blades, rivet busters and forging dies. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and elasticity. It also includes information on forming, heat treating, and machining. Filing Code: TS-352. Producer or source: Cyclops Corporation.

BUSTER ALLOY 60 is a widely accepted tungsten shock-resisting tool steel. Its performance is unequalled in most shock and impact tools used under very demanding conditions. It is deep hardening and combines this quality with excellent wear resistance and good toughness. Buster Alloy 60 will withstand repeated heating to 700-800 F, when used in lower temperature hot-work applications. Among its many uses are shear blades, hand chisels, pneumatic tools, coining dies, hot-heading dies, forging dies and machine parts. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and elasticity. It also includes information on forming, heat treating, and machining. Filing Code: TS-455. Producer or source: Columbia Tool Steel Company.

GUTERL S-1 is a chromium-tungsten steel for general use for chisels and other cold-battering tools. It also is used for numerous other cold and hot-work applications because of its excellent toughness, high hardness and strength, and resistance to fatigue. Its many applications include boilermaker's tools, cold-battering hand and pneumatic tools, punches, shear blades and concrete drills and breakers. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and elasticity. It also includes information on forming, heat treating, machining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: TS-396. Producer or source: Guterl Special Steel Corporation.
