Crucible Nu-Die V (Type H13) is a medium-carbon, chromium-molybdenum-vanadium, alloy hot work tool steel that provides a good balance of toughness, heat check resistance, and temper resistance, along with moderate wear resistance. It is used for tool temperatures up to about 540 °C (1000 °F) with brief exposures up to 595 °C (1100 °F). VISCOUNT 20 is an air-hardening, 5% chromium hot-work steel with the same analysis as Latrobe's VDC except for the addition of carefully controlled and evenly dispersed alloy sulfides. These additives improve the machinability of the steel so that it is an excellent selection for a variety of hot-work applications where machinability is of primary importance. GUTERL H-13 is an air-hardening chromium-molybdenum-vanadium tool steel that finds wide use as dies in the forging, extrusions and die-casting industries.
