J and L type 444 stainless steel is a fully ferritic stainless steel with extra low carbon and nitrogen contents. The alloy is resistant to stress-corrosion cracking and also has corrosion properties comparable to AISI type 316, along with high yield strength, good weldability, and good formability. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, and joining. Filing Code: SS-742. Producer or source: J & L Specialty Steel Inc.

Cleveland-Cliffs 444 is a low carbon, low nitrogen, dual stabilized ferritic stainless steel that provides pitting and crevice corrosion resistance superior to most ferritic stainless steels and some austenitic stainless steels. It is equivalent to Type 304 austenitic stainless steel in many corrosion environments and has a lower coefficient of expansion and better thermal conductivity. Cleveland- Cliffs 444 has superior chloride stress-corrosion cracking resistance to Type 304 and Type 316 austenitic stainless steels. It is oxidation and creep resistant at elevated temperatures, making it a preferred material for the most demanding applications in automotive exhaust. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming and joining. Filing Code: SS-1355. Producer or source: Cleveland-Cliffs Inc.

NIROSTA 4521 is a ferritic grade equivalent to AISI type 444. It is a low-carbon, high-chromium (about 18%) alloy also with 2% Mo and minimal titanium. The titanium is added for stabilization, particularly for welded tubing. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on high temperature performance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-887. Producer or source: ThyssenKrupp Nirosta GmbH.

AL 439HP is similar to the popular alloy Type 439, except for its very low carbon content. The low carbon content of AL 439HP enhances its formability and intergranular corrosion resistance. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, and joining. Filing Code: SS-829. Producer or source: Allegheny Ludlum Corporation.
