AK Steel Types 430, 434, 435 Mod, and 436 are ferritic stainless steels that provide a combination of corrosion resistance, functionality, and beauty that make them suitable for many roll-formed and stamped automotive trim applications. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming and joining. Filing Code: SS-1314. Producer or source: AK Steel Corporation.

Armco 434 is a ferritic stainless steel with good corrosion resistance to mildly corrosive environments and the atmosphere. The alloy is oxidation resistant at temperatures up to 871 deg C (1600 deg F) for intermittent service and up to 788-816 deg C (1450-1500 deg F) for continuous service. It is used for automotive trim and other exterior environments. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming and joining. Filing Code: SS-792. Producer or source: Armco Inc.

UNILOY 434 is a medium-chromium (17%), non-hardening, ferritic stainless steel containing an addition of molybdenum (nominally 1%). The molybdenum addition creates a grade with increased resistance to corrosion. This steel (when compared with the molybdenum-free grade, AISI Type 430 or Uniloy 430) shows improved resistance to pitting attack from various de-icing chemicals. In addition, the color of Uniloy 434, when buffed, closely resembles that of bright chromium plate. Hence a popular application for Uniloy 434 is automotive trim. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness and creep. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-422. Producer or source: Cyclops Cytemp.
