Uranus 35N is a duplex stainless steel with a microstructure consisting of austenite and ferrite close to 50/50. It has corrosion resistance and strength better than type 304 stainless steel. Applications include pressure vessels for weight savings and where more resistance to chloride-ion stress-corrosion cracking is needed. LeanDup 35N is a dual phase austenitic-ferritic stainless steel that has the ability to become as important as 316L. It offers better corrosion resistance than 316L in many environments, yet has similar machinability to 316L and a reduced cost due to the much lower nickel and molybdenum levels. Avesta Sheffield SAF 2304 is an austenitic/ferritic duplex stainless steel with high tensile strength, impact toughness with good workability and weldability.
