Atlas 310 / 310S / 310H are chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steels. They combine excellent high temperature properties with good ductility and weldability. Atlas 310S (UNS S31008) is used when the application environment involves moist corrodents in a temperature range lower than that which is normally considered "high temperature" service. The lower carbon content of 310S does reduce its high temperature strength as compared to that of 310H. Atlas 310H (UNS S31009) has a carbon content restricted to exclude the lower end of the Atlas 310 range. It is the grade of choice for high temperature applications. Grade 310L encompasses a series of proprietary grades, generally with a 0.03% maximum carbon and sometimes used for very specific corrosive environments such as urea production. Like other austenitic grades the 310 family has excellent toughness, even down to cryogenic temperatures, although other grades are normally used in sub-zero environments. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as heat treating and joining. Filing Code: SS-1363. Producer or source: Atlas Steels.

ATI 310S is a 25Cr-20Ni austenitic stainless steel that is typically used for elevated temperature applications. Owing to its higher chromium and nickel contents the alloy provides comparable corrosion resistance, superior resistance to oxidation, and the retention of a larger fraction of room temperature strength than the common austenitic stainless steels such as Type 304. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-1328. Producer or source: ATI.

Type 310L is similar to Allegheny Ludlum Type 310 (see Alloy Digest SS-719, June 1988) except that it has a very low carbon content. This change enhances corrosion resistance to strong oxidizing acids. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance. Filing Code: SS-836. Producer or source: Allegheny Ludlum Corporation.

EASTERN STAINLESS TYPE 310S has high resistance to corrosion and oxidation at high temperatures. It also has high strength at elevated temperatures. Thus it is especially suitable for service at high temperatures. It is very ductile and can be welded readily. Among the many applications for Type 310S, a few typical uses include annealing boxes, chemical plant equipment, fire box sheets, furnace linings, heat exchangers, oil-refining equipment, kiln linings and tube hangers. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as creep. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-450. Producer or source: Eastern Stainless Steel Company.
