ATI 219, also known by the more familiar 21-6-9 or XM-11 designations, is a nitrogen-bearing austenitic stainless steel that has substantially higher strength than the standard austenitic stainless steels. The alloy remains non-magnetic even after substantial cold forming and exposure to subzero temperatures. Many of the applications for ATI 219 make use of its combination of high strength and nonmagnetic properties, even at very low temperatures. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, and elasticity. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-1348. Producer or source: ATI.

This 21 Cr-9Ni-N austenitic stainless steel develops substantially higher tensile strengths than the familiar austenitic stainless alloys. The alloy has good corrosion resistance and good weldability. It is commonly listed as grade XM-11. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on low and high temperature performance, and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-638. Producer or source: Allegheny Ludlum Corporation.

ARMCO NITRONIC 40 Stainless Steel is one of the most versatile austenitic stainless steels with a room-temperature yield strength about twice that of AISI Types 304, 321 and 347. In addition, NITRONIC 40 has remarkably good elevated temperature properties and oxidation resistance. It retains high toughness down to -423 F. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness and creep. It also includes information on low temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, and joining. Filing Code: SS-327. Producer or source: Armco Advanced Materials Corporation. Originally published as Nitronic 40, May 1976, revised August 1990.
