for article titled, LUCEFIN GROUP C30 (1.0528), C30E (1.1178), C30R (1.1179): Medium-Carbon, Non-Alloy Steel
Lucefin Group C30, C30E, and C30R are medium-carbon, non-alloy steels that are used in the normalized, cold worked, or quenched and tempered condition. C30E and C30R may also be flame or induction hardened. C30, C30E, and C30R are widely used for small, moderately stressed parts, where higher strength levels are needed than can be achieved in the lower carbon grades, and also where toughness is more important than high tensile strength. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: CS-206. Producer or source: Lucefin S.p.A.

for article titled, SAE 1030: Carbon Steel
SAE 1030 is a plan carbon steel containing nominally 0.30% carbon. It is used in the hot-rolled, normalized, oil-quenched-and-tempered or water-quenched-and-tempered condition for general-purpose engineering and construction. It provides medium strength and toughness at low cost. Among its many uses are axles, bolts, gears and building sections. All data cited herein are on a single heat of fine-grain steel, 5-7 grain size. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness. It also includes information on forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: CS-128. Producer or source: Carbon steel mills.

1030, C30, C30E, and C30R are wrought medium-carbon non-alloy steels that are used in the normalized, cold worked, or quenched and tempered condition. 1030, C30E, and C30R may also be flame or induction hardened. These steels are widely used for small, moderately stressed parts that require higher strength levels than can be achieved by the lower carbon grades, and also for applications where a combination of moderate strength and good toughness is required. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: CS-214. Producer or source: Data Survey.

1030, C30, C30E, and C30R are wrought medium-carbon (carbon = 0.27–0.34%) non-alloy steels that are used in the normalized, cold worked, or quenched and tempered condition. 1030, C30E, and C30R may also be flame or induction hardened, nitrided, or nitrocarburized. These steels are widely used for small, moderately stressed parts that require higher strength levels than can be achieved by the lower carbon grades, They are also used for applications where a combination of moderate strength and good toughness is required. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties. It also includes information on forming and heat treating. Filing Code: CS-249. Producer or source: Heat Treater's Guide.
