Copper Alloy No. C93400 is cast bronze containing nominally 8% tin and 8% lead. Former commercial names (not recommended) are (1) High-Leaded Tin Bronze and (2) 84-8-8-0. It has excellent machinability, low strength and good resistance to corrosion. Its applications include bearings, pump impellers and corrosion-resistant castings. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and compressive strength as well as fracture toughness and fatigue. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as casting, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Cu-401. Producer or source: Copper alloy foundries.
