Copper Alloy No. 857 is a free-machining copper-zinc-tin-lead alloy for castings. It is characterized by its pleasing yellow color, good machining and polishing characteristics, and its relatively low cost. It has only moderate strength and is used in light-duty applications such as plumbing goods, valves and ornaments. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as casting, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Cu-342. Producer or source: Copper alloy foundries.
