... treatment is the final step in alloy pro- cessing. C7025, however, does not contain beryllium. Consequently, it has strength and stress relaxation resistance similar to that of C17510 and C17410, without the high cost and handling concern associated with Be-Cu. C7025 is provided by Olin in the mill-hardened...

Alloy C7025 is a second generation, high performance alloy whose strength comes from an age hardening heat treatment similar to that used for the beryllium coppers. With stress relaxation resistance comparable to Be-Cu alloys C170/C172 (see Olin 170, Alloy Digest Cu-615, July 1998, and Olin 172, Alloy Digest Cu-621, August 1998) and conductivity almost double that of brass, C7025 is well suited to high-reliability connector applications. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as joining. Filing Code: CU-631. Producer or source: Olin Brass.

Brush Alloy 390 was specifically designed for high-power applications and provides a combination of high strength and high conductivity. Increasing power requirements drive the need for lower conductor resistance to reduce joule heating. This alloy has a high thermal conductivity that is critical to thermal management. Higher power requirements create harsh environments and higher operating temperatures. Alloy 390 provides excellent stress-relaxation resistance at elevated temperatures, which increases electrical contact reliability. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, and elasticity as well as fracture toughness, deformation, and fatigue. It also includes information on high temperature performance. Filing Code: CU-712. Producer or source: Brush Wellman Inc.

BRUSH ALLOY 174 beryllium copper is a family of alloys designed to allow denser packaging, miniaturization, higher currents and higher operating temperatures in electrical and electronic applications. It offers improved electrical and thermal conductivity, superior resistance to stress relaxation at elevated temperatures and better formability than competitive alloys, BRUSH ALLOY 174 is the preferred spring material where traditional copper-base alloys are inadequate. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming and joining. Filing Code: Cu-509. Producer or source: Brush Wellman Inc.. See also Alloy Digest Cu-578, November 1992.
