Alcoa alloy 5454 was developed specifically for use in the manufacture of aluminum tank trailer and dump bodies. This revision of the original Alloy Digest data sheet is also specific to road transport products and adds additional coverage to alloy 5454 H34. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, tensile properties, and bend strength as well as fatigue. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: AL-275. Producer or source: Alcoa Mill Products Inc. Originally published December 1986, revised December 2003.
