for article titled, AA 2014: High Strength Wrought Heat Treatable Aluminum Alloy
AA 2014 is a precipitation hardenable aluminum alloy in which copper is the principal alloying element. In the heat treated condition the alloy's properties are similar to those of mild steel. Corrosion resistance of AA 2014 is inferior to that of most other aluminum alloys. Sheet and plate may be clad with 6003 alloy to improve corrosion resistance. This cladding alloy contains magnesium and silicon in amounts to form magnesium silicide which is its strengthening constituent. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and shear strength as well as fatigue. It also includes information on low and high temperature performance, and corrosion resistance as well as forming, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Al-304. Producer or source: Various aluminum companies.

for article titled, KAISER ALUMINUM ALLOY 2014: Heat-Treatable Aluminum Alloy
Kaiser Aluminum alloy 2014 is one of the strongest heat-treatable alloys for screw machine applications. The alloy has good machinability and high strength. Corrosion resistance is only fair. Weldability is good with arc and resistance methods. In many applications, this alloy can be substituted for 2024. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, tensile properties, and shear strength as well as fatigue. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: AL-354. Producer or source: Kaiser Aluminum Corporation.
