Abstract
ALUMINUM 328.0 is an aluminum-silicon-copper-magnesium alloy that responds to heat treatment. It retains good strength up to 400 F. The machinability of this alloy is fair. Its uses include cylinder blocks, crankcases, gear housings and similar components. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, and tensile properties. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as casting, heat treating, and machining. Filing Code: Al-253.
